Profile Summary

Siti Aisyah Mustafa joined the Department of Business Management, Faculty of Technology Management and Business, UTHM in 2018. She obtained her Master’s degree in Finance (Applied) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2015, and her Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2012. During her Master’s degree studies, she won “Best Paper Award” in Terengganu International Business and Economic Conference (TiBEC IV) organised by UiTM in September 2014.

Prior to joining UTHM, she was a management trainee under the Financial Sector Talent Enrichment Programme, where she was part of Ambank Group apprentices. During the apprenticeship, she was selected as one of the 20 torchbearers under the Future Leaders and Managers Enrichment (FLAME) Programme, a programme managed by Asian Banking School and in collaboration with Bank Negara Malaysia. She then joined a de-facto local market leader in bond and Sukuk pricing as an analyst for several years. These industry exposures had equipped her with the practical aspects of banking and the technical knowledge of financial market particularly the fixed income market. She also has contributed one technical write-up related to the role of Sukuk index in Islamic Finance The New Normal book – an Islamic Finance reference book published by Rating Agency Malaysia and in collaboration with INCEIF.

She currently serves as the Managing Editor of Journal of Technology Management and Business (JTMB) and actively working on several research projects related to financial-economic issues, asset pricing, and default probabilities.
